TDC2 2009 Winners
The Type Directors Club Typeface Design Competition (TDC2): 165 entries from 26 countries narrowed down to 18 winners.
Personal favourites include: Manuel Guerrero’s Optica Normal, a functionally challenging, but aesthetic (and systems inspired) tour de force; Henning Skibbe’s Haptic, a versatile sans serif designed for use at small sizes; and Ondrej Job’s Klimax Bold, an exuberant, ultra-heavy display typeface.
